Despite its widespread native habitat from India to Taiwan, where it can be found along watercourses at elevations between 3,000' and 8,000', Dryopteris dickinsii is rarely seen in gardens. For us, it has proven amazingly easy in cultivation under a wide range of conditions. The solitary 15" tall x 2' wide rosette of
